French M1886 Lebel Bayonet

M1886 Epée or Lebel bayonet used between 1887 and 1940, also in various French colonies.

This is a later version without the hooked Quillon and with a copper handle.

Affectionately called" Rosalie" by the troops.

The scabbard is provided with a serial number 7233.
The cross-guard has a marking "L" or "G" and the number "16". The pommel is marked with "P" and a "3"
